New Rural Transportation Planning Grant

The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) is pleased to announce the 2024 Rural Community Innovations: Transportation Planning Grant. This new opportunity will offer funding for rural and tribal communities to engage in planning activities to identify current and future community transportation needs. Selected grantees are expected to develop a written plan of action to guide implementation of identified strategies. Below are some important details of this grant opportunity:

  • NADTC has made available $420,000, allowing each grantee to apply for a maximum of $35,000
  • Projects must be completed within approximately 9 months
  • Eligible applicants include local and regional private nonprofit or governmental organizations located in rural communities, including tribes. Eligible recipients or subrecipients of FTA’s Section 5310 (Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program), are encouraged to apply.
  • All applications must be submitted to NADTC’s Grant Application Portal by 11:59 PM ET, on June 7th, 2024.
